INTRODUCTION
 
English Language Camp introduces students to new and interesting ways of learning and improving their command of the English language. It also provides great opportunities for students to develop their skills in planning and making decision which will indirectly help in strengthening their leadership.


RATIONALES
 
The rationales of having this English Language Camp are as follows:
  • To give opportunities for students to participate in both outdoor and indoor activities
  • To provide a rich language environment
  • To train students to think critically and make critical judgement through the various activities they participate in
  • To enable students to experience the dynamic interplay between curriculum context, language theories and real-life situations


OBJECTIVES

The TESL students will be able to:
  • communicate, interact, collaborate and participate in activities using the English Language;
  • demonstrate leadership qualities;
  • gain self-confidence and demonstrate talent through participation in the field of language, arts and sports;
  • demonstrate cooperation and teamwork;
  • make independent judgement in planning, managing and carrying out activities on a large scale;
  • acquire positive values through active participation in activities and value- added qualities of human capital in teacher training; and
  • reflect on the experience gained through activities and visitation.
